Fashion Is Art
This year, our client Helena Simon created 330 custom green rose brooches for the 2026 Met Gala. Every performer and server working fashion’s biggest night wore one of her handmade blooms and our branding is on every single brooch. It was a literal dream come true.
The 2026 Met Gala celebrated the theme Costume Art, the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition exploring the clothed body through pairings of garments and artworks from across The Met’s vast collection.
The dress code for the biggest night in fashion was “Fashion Is Art” and guests were asked to treat the body as a canvas. It’s hard to imagine a better stage for Helena’s work because her brooches have always lived right at that intersection of fashion and art: sculptural, romantic and made entirely by hand in a New York City atelier.

An army of green roses
Our mark on the red carpet
On the night itself, the famous Met Gala steps were transformed into a lush, otherworldly green garden. Inside the museum, servers carried the theme through every gallery, each with the finishing touch being a pale green rose pinned to their chest. Crafting 330 roses in time for the event was an absolutely massive undertaking and a labor of love, but they turned out beautifully, tying in the uniforms with the overall palette.
When we built out Helena’s brand, we designed her signature HS icon to feel like an heirloom: something that would look just as at home on the back of a brooch as it would on a jewelry box. Knowing that mark showed up at the Met Gala hundreds of times over was a once in a lifetime moment. Following their Met Gala inclusion, the good news keeps coming: Helena’s brooches were also featured in the Summer 2026 print issue of Vogue!

Shop the Green Rose
Due to popular demand, Helena has released The Green Rose to the public. It is made by hand from pale green silk taffeta, silk satin face organza and silk organza petals and finished with a 14-karat gold-plated pin and her signature icon. Each one is handmade in New York and one of a kind, so no two blossoms are exactly alike.
