There’s one final project to share before the year comes to a close and that’s Jeneration Academy, the sister brand to Jeneration PR. Project-wise, this is the place we started, since Jen wanted to turn her 10 years of PR experience into a self-paced online course over the Summer.
There’s a definite beachy, vacation-inspired vibe which conveys the potential of relaxation and more free time thanks to the processes, tips and tricks learned within the course.
Jeneration Academy is targeted at a younger, self-starter small business clientele who want measurable results as they market their offerings but don’t have the funds to hire a full-service PR firm.
It was clear from our questionnaire and research that Jen was inspired by Southern California and its casual beach culture. This tied heavily into the color palette, which has a combination of sand and ocean hues.
The sans serif font of Jeneration Academy is more relaxed than Jeneration PR. The brand has a younger feel since the price point is lower than the dedicated 1-to-1 services its sister brand offers.
Once the Jeneration Academy branding was complete, the course needed a sales page, social assets, presentation templates and a dozen workbooks. Since there is a massive amount of content, the workbook covers visually differ slightly — some are checklists while others are worksheets and calendars.
Jeneration Academy is now offering its first digital course, Press Success and has a thriving Facebook group. The product fills a noticeable gap in the PR and marketing industry, bridging the area between the DIY crowd and businesses with larger budgets.
